Colmar is a town in the Grand Est region of northeastern France, near the border with Germany. Its old town has cobblestone streets lined with half-timbered medieval and early Renaissance buildings. The Gothic 13th-century, Eglise Saint-Martin church stands on central Place de la Cathédrale. The city is on the Alsace Wine Route, and local vineyards specialize in Riesling and Gewürztraminer wines.
Beautiful views of the Catholic Jesuit Church in Lucerne, Switzerland. It is the first large baroque church built in Switzerland north of the Alps. Beautiful example of a Baroque church. The first large Baroque church north of the Alps started by the Jesuits in Catholic Switzerland. It was begun in 1673, consecrated in 1677, but not completed until 1893. Inside and out it is pleasingly different from the Gothic/Norman cathedrals seen across Europe.
Always a great time fishing and relaxing on the river with family and friends, old and new. Took a ride on a "Bayou Dream" with some new friends and watched the fireworks from the river.
Gazing out onto Old River, Batchelor, Louisiana. Looking forward to summer and all that it holds with days spent fishing on the river with family and friends.
